From Farm to Code

I grew up on a farm in Nova Scotia, Canada, where I developed a strong work ethic and love for problem-solving. After high school, I moved to British Columbia where I spent 10+ years working as a counselor on the frontlines of the opioid epidemic, helping homeless and drug-addicted populations find their way back.

Recently, I moved back to Nova Scotia to care for my aging mother-in-law. This transition has given me the opportunity to pursue my passion for web development and programming full-time while staying close to family.

I have a deep passion for learning new skills. When I'm not coding, you'll find me gardening, playing retro video games, creating pixel art and animation, or working on my solo game project Darkness Blooms.
