From Farm to City and Back
I grew up on a farm in Nova Scotia, Canada. Those early years taught me the value of hard work, problem-solving, and perseverance. There's something about growing up surrounded by nature that stays with you.
After high school, I moved to British Columbia where I spent 10+ years building a career in counseling, working with some of the most vulnerable populations during the opioid crisis. BC taught me resilience, empathy, and the importance of community.
Recently, I moved back to Nova Scotia to care for my aging mother-in-law. It's been a journey coming home, reconnecting with my roots while pursuing new passions in web development and game design.
What I Love
Gardening
There's something meditative about growing your own food and flowers. My garden is my happy place.
Retro Gaming
Classic RPGs and retro games are my jam. They inspire my game development work on Darkness Blooms.
Pixel Art
Creating pixel art is my creative outlet. There's something meditative about placing each pixel just right.
Learning
Always picking up new skills, whether it's a new programming language or a new art technique.
